| Craft Projects Using Recycled Items From Your Home: FREE TUB SCRUBBER CRAFT PROJECT You will need two old towels any color and some organic yarn or hemp yarn. Use one strip of an old towel 6" x 30". Cut edges into points or scallops. Gather between fingers down middle of strip, then tie around middle with organic or hemp yarn. To resemble a flower, cut a large green oval leaf from an old towel and slip middle of leaf under yarn. Tie yarn to form finger loop. These may be made in pairs, one hanging from each end of 24" ribbon. When scrubbing, use both loops slipped over middle finger. FREE LITTLE CHAIR PINCUSHION CRAFT PROJECT Little Chair Pin Cushions can be made from flat tuna or pineapple cans. When opening can, leave about l" uncut, bend up lid (This forms back of Chair) Cover with batting scraps for padding, then drape with fabric and trim with lace. These are the perfect size for a sewer to put on thier table next to the sewing machine. FREE COFFEE CAN CRAFT PROJECT Coffee Cans with Plastic Lids may be covered with FASHION FOAM. Just cut Foam piece slightly longer than side of can. Sew by machine, turn and slip on can. Trim top and bottom edges with scissors. To decorate, sew or cement on lace, buttons, rick-rack, Foam Cut-Outs or ribbon. These covered Coffee Cans can be used as banks, to hold buttons, as roller containers, as "give-away" Cookie jars .or to keep trading stamps & coupons. FREE NAPKIN OR LETTER HOLDERS CRAFT PROJECT Napkin or letter Holders can be made by cutting down detergent bottles, and cementing ART FOAM or FASHION FOAM decorations to sides. Or use Foam decorations on bleach bottle Piggy Banks. Just cover bottle with ART FOAM making head separate. Make a snout by sewing around a 3" circle, gathering and stuffing, then sew to face. Buttons may be sewn on for eyes & nose. Make PomPoms by clipping strips of ART FOAM 3" x 12" into fringe, roll and tie. Sew o body as shown. To make Bunny, change to long ears and add whiskers. |
